Miller Homes North East

The Customer

Miller Homes are the largest privately owned housebuilder in the United Kingdom, with a reputation for quality and care coupled with the construction of domestic properties of the highest standard.

There are a number of local Miller Homes offices throughout the United Kingdom and the North East office based in North Shields is one of the busiest of the various regional offices building hundreds of new houses at any one time.

The Scenario

Prior to using Powersave Direct Ltd all utility connections were co-ordinated by Miller Homes Contracts Manager, Patrick Arkle.

Patrick always considered that co-ordinating the utility connections on his projects was a major problem commenting, “I couldn’t do anything else other than the services and we would miss legal completions.”

In order to free up his time and rationalise the system to facilitate the process of utility connections Patrick trialled Powersave Direct Ltd to co-ordinate a number of his new projects in 2004.

The Outcome

Since Powersave Direct Ltd commenced working on behalf of Miller Homes North East in 2004, we have co-ordinated utility connections to 1570 plots and at no time have we ever missed a legal completion. We continue to partner Miller Homes North East on all of their new sites in co-ordinating the utility connections.
